'lady Of The Mountains' Acrylics On Paper. Painting

'Lady of the Mountains' acrylics on paper. Painting takes on a life of its own. What wants to be created gets created whether I want to or not and whether I understand it or not. When I started painting the base layers for this particular piece, I was happy and dancing. My brushes usually move without my conscious thought or plan. This lady emerging was beyond my control. Often my paintings are predictive or have a message. This woman looks so sad and tired. Painting her was sobering and she feels like the woman of the mountains with water flowing, an aspect of the Earth, looking on sadly at the slow destruction of our world and the contamination of our every resource and gifts of the Earth.
